I like the tweet that notes this (alleged) pilot is “6-0" as if there’s a lot of pilots out there with like losing records. Generally notching anything in the loss column as a military pilot doesn’t end well.

So I guess you are the one that decides none of the blue collar workers / trades people making boats, expensive cars, planes should have jobs anymore because you think no one should be able to afford these things? Nice of you. Would love to hear your economic plan.
I mean you can make fun of the guy for having a “toy” like this but you know what? This project has employed hundreds of people in the hard hit marine sector and will continue to employee lots of people for the substantial on-going maintenance that will be required. Captains, engineers, all the other crew, the ports…
I don’t think it works that way. Or, at least, it is not the most efficient way. Bullying poor people out of cars and leaving them no other option than poorly implemented public transportation will increase the usage of public transportation, but is not really a motivator to improve public transportation.
The way I see it, this plays out one of three ways.
Doesn’t just apply to electric vehicles. If you’ve got a gas or diesel it will reduce the load on those too. So no matter what you’re straining the tow vehicle way less and getting better fuel economy.
“Because you continue to disagree with me, you must not have been intelligent enough to understand my argument. Because if you were, you wouldn’t continue to disagree with me.”
Did you even read the article?
Connie, Are you really Erin?
So that excuses stealing?
I wonder if Erin would be quite as cool with stealing if thieves broke into her home and took her stuff. The thought experiment can assume that these thieves are “suffering from income inequality” or are “desperate”. Perhaps “shit has even been real” lately for them?
“Now, every outlet is calling these folks thieves, and sure, that’s technically correct.”
I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.
This weird apologist take is just bad. These people are thieves, stealing things from OTHER people who legitimately bought something despite the poor economy. This isn’t a stick-it-to-bezos thing. This is impacting folks like you and me who work to pay their bills, then get their hard-earned shit stolen by someone who…
I had a short run at an ad agency. The classic Lucky Strike campaign was required learning. Basically, an ad agency guy asked a Lucky Strike exec how the cigarettes were made. He listed the ingredients and described the tobacco as being “toasted” during the process. The ad exec latched onto the word “toasted” and…
Counterpoint from the sentence before: “But once you set it up you have something that gives you some of the benefits of a floor jack, a lift and jack stands all in one.”
For gods sake please, PLEASE do not use portable lifts without jack stands. Things move. Slight movements become bigger movements when an object is loaded up with extra energy, like say the weight of a car. Always have a redundancy in place when not working with a fixed lift.
“Because he doesn’t take a salary or cash bonus, his wealth comes from stock awards and the gains in Tesla’s share price.”
These things aren’t money, they’re promises. It’s money that doesn’t exist yet... it’s imaginary, right up to the point where it’s converted to cash (i.e. sold).
Taxing imaginary money is not a…
The tax code is fucked! And the Ignorati refuse to acknowledge it. They’d rather spew hate at anyone and everyone who’s doing better than them.
Buffett paid $25M on $125M in capital gains from his personal portfolio in 2019 according to Pro Publica. Thats because NE has no state tax and they were all long term gains.
