I was about to say the same thing. The first gun I bought, it was between the P229 or HKP2000sk, and I went with the HK. Have never regretted it, and would consider myself a loyalist, but if I had chosen Sig that day, I’m certain I would have been just as satisfied. I’m also certain I will own a P229 someday.

I decline your invitation to do your research for you.
I never said I “have an allergy”, I said I had a reaction and then stayed away from it, and haven’t had another reaction - in almost 30 years.

Have you gained what you are looking for on this quest of yours? Is your life more fulfilled?

You do not have even close enough science to confirm your agenda.

But crusade on, great warrior! You have much to gain!

You are the one with a crusade and an agenda; I only shared a real life experience.

Quite the straw man you are building.

When I was 11 I had a cup of noodles (I dont know the brand) and almost immediately afterward I had a both stabbing and throbbing headache so bad that I was beating my head against the wall to get the pain to stop. Later, my mom mentioned “it may have been MSG, which some people react to.” I have actively stayed away

I haven’t check it, but I trust your math, but that said, I now question the validity of the info. Most any time of the day, M-F, in LA, it will take 1-2 hours to drive 15 freeway miles. Even more from 6-10am or 3-7pm (or 1/3 of the day). That should be a 14min drive. That 46min extra minimum, each way, sometimes 2+

If Alissa Walker gets her way, we’ll sit in LA traffic for 160 extra hours next year.

I’m fine with debate. I think it’s a very grey issue with good points to be made on both sides.

edit:
also: “More modern or mass produced items are generally considered more acceptable to repair.”

I think we can include the Corvette in this group.

See my response about restoring damaged master paintings.

And to be clear, I don’t if it’s restored or not. I respect this as “part of its history”, and also have no problem with it being restored, but to declare one or the other as the “right” thing is rather silly.

Are liberty bells the type of things that people tend to restore to their original condition? Or is there one. And it’s left as is.

Even when master paintings are damaged, they restore them.

I think your straw man is on fire.

Then there is no reason to restore any car ever - just let them all deteroriate to nothing as “part of their history”.

He is not “paying dearly”. He has been merely inconvenienced and will end up $500k-$10M richer for it. He’ll be okay.

I hope an earthquake swallows him while he’s here.

World: please stop despositing your annoying trash in LA. we don;t have the waste management to handle it all.

I didn’t even know BestBuy did anything yesterday. Nice find.

AND... I missed the start of the only thing I wanted (SDHC cards) by 3 minutes... and they’re gone.

Yeah, I haven’t seen any amazing deals that I can’t pass up - just a whole lot of mediocre deals that would be okay if I was buying that product anyway - kinda like Amazon as usual.

Yeah, I was surprised at the Prime Day “deal” considering what it once sold for.

This is the problem, all the people picketing for $15/hr minimum wage (Kinjites) don’t understand how business works. They haven’t worked out CODB or COGS (or even know what they are) or even have any idea how much is involved in pricing both products and services to keep a company in business and people employed.
