MPG is a typically a monetary issue. People that dont have a ton of money to spend a lot on gas absolutely look at MPG - though it's rarely the first or only thing they look at. In CA, I'd say the hybrid/electric buyers are right down the middle - equal number of people concerned with the environment, and people only
