I couldn't agree with you more. I tried to give Janelle a good listen, and I found her too hit or miss. I know people who adore her, but I wonder if it's one of those quirky style over substance things. Not quite like Kelis... but a little bit like Kelis?

I loved Janelle Monae ever since 'Tightrope,' but this is fucking amazing. 'Cold War' was equally fantastic a song, as are most of her others in my opinion, but the cinematography in this video was INSANE.
