Is is just me or does jezebel as a community seem to pick on or hate on some random celebrity for no real reason sometime? Like with Anne hathaway alot of people seemed to hate her but couldn't give a real reason other than she reminds them of someone they knew or they heard something. With this whole beyonce thing

I hate these open letters. She is a grown damn woman and doesn't need to be schooled. I know that the intentions were good but the tone of this sucker just bugs me. Like so many people who are trying to put you in your place they start off by kissing your butt and telling you how great you are and then go in on you.

While the intention of the article is good, the tone is cringe-inducingly condescending.

1. The brothers were from the Caucasus region. Is he suggesting we racially profile all Caucasians?

Do the people smugly pointing out that "Muslim" is not a race understand that in the minds of men like Walsh, "Muslim" translates to "Middle Eastern"?

All these people keep saying "But but but! Islam isn't a race! So it doesn't count!"

Oh for fuck's sake, people. Am I the only one who watched Reading Rainbow as a kid? A few of you have serious reading comprehension issues. Meher didn't say Muslim was a race. She said there's a racist component to what Walsh was saying. Guess what? She's right; he's implying profiling based on brown people

Pardon me here, but i saw nothing wrong with Aunt Viv and Hillary's wardrobes. They were fucking flawless.

Well, until humanity can share the planet - zoos help to protect endangered species. Unless you'd prefer to have this little guy slaughtered for his tusks in a few years. You can return to your PETA meeting now.

In Living Color, White Men Can't Jump, Do the Right Thing, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...

These pics remind me of an aspect of grunge that I haven't heard discussed much: that it was was very much a white phenomenon. Black and Hispanic looks of the 90s were much more colorful. And rightly so - grunge sucked (admittedly, my personal bias).

Hooray for Dawn getting a story line! I loved the scenes of her and her friend, and how it gave her character more depth. One glaring thing was wrong though- Dawn would NEVER EVER stick her neck out like that for that secretary. If there's one thing black girls have been taught since the dawn of racism its to be on

Thank you for telling that person the truth.

Your concern for the welfare of kept animals is commendable, but the use of zoos as open laboratories of conservation techniques has in many ways eclipsed their original use as facilities for human entertainment.

RIP Chrissy Amphlett. A few years back, I Touch Myself was my favorite jam to blast with the car windows down as I cut through a church parking lot on the way to my standing sunday morning diner date.
