I'm glad someone was paying attention.

I, too, was looking forward to meeting a Jewish vampire called Sidney Applebaum.

It looks like the biggest actual difference is the choice of carb filler. In Scrapple (according to Wikipedia, anyway), it's cornmeal or buckwheat flour. In Goetta, it's grotes.

I had to turn off Get A Job after 20 minutes. Just the worst dreck.

Two observations:

It's possible, but I don't recall Richardson being directly involved. I know Charney shot a lot of the early campaigns himself.

Yeah, I was always conflicted about this brand, for the same reasons you listed. Dov Cherny was such a fucking sleaze and he cocked up what seemed like the next great American company by trying to cram his dick into anything with two X chromosomes and a pulse.

I second The Americans Season 5. I have a friend who owns a vintage store, and she has sold the show several pieces of womens clothing, which adds to my fun, trying to figure out what on the show might have come from Incogneeto Vintage (yeah, that's a plug for my friend).

There's a pretty vibrant dim sum scene in central NJ, surprisingly not centered in Edison (sometimes called NYC's Third Chinatown), although probably the absolute best in terms of food quality is there, a place called Wonder Seafood.

I like wu gok (grew up on them) but I get what you mean about getting tired about halfway through. I think if they were made into smaller portions, we'd see more adoption by non-Chinese.

Don't hold your breath on Tool. But APC will probably release one in 2017. And there will probably be a new Puscifer, because why not? I think McJunkins is finally done touring with Eagles Of Death Metal, so he has some free time on his hands.

Hey man, when one bites into a shit sandwich for a taste, a second bite usually isn't necessary.

I had never heard of LCD Soundsystem until the eponymous You're The Worst episode, and so didn't really get the following exchange between Gretchen and her seemingly-hip neighbor, Rob:

That was my literal reaction to watching the first installment. My friends kind of hijacked me into seeing this. As I'd been overseas for a month prior, I had no idea what kind of movie I was walking into, and I had those exact thoughts while watching it.

Yeah, her role there was to be a mature adult for Gretchen to hurl ridiculous abuse at ("Titty-sucking bitch"), and then respond with a few quick quips ("Plus, I do kinda want to fight you.")

That rant may be why I love You're The Worst so much. That type of horror comedy was new to me, and my jaw just dropped when I first saw this scene.

Any list that doesn't include "The Gang Goes On Welfare" is automatically invalid. It is the perfect summation of the show. I hooked many a neophyte on the show with this episode alone.

This is where historians will place the line and say, "This marks the fall of comic book movies as 'a good thing'."
