I love me some Anna Kendrick but just don't see AK = SG. For one - Squirrel Girl has some serious badonkadonk, esp. when she has to stuff all that tail in her pants.

A large part of my TV-viewing life has been, "Hey, that guy on Law and Order [insert series here] right now - he was in that Hal Hartley movie I liked!"

Wait, your town isn't populated by quirky, attractive young women, coffee houses, and AI androids!

Any song that inspired the movie ET is fine by me. :)

Definitely agree. I've had similar discussions with some friends of mine recently.

In terms of space-themed Top 40, this is about a kajillion times better than Katy Perry's "ET."

Gonna wrap this up. Sorry for the rage-posting. But yeah - the justification of "Sports Pride" is a big trigger for me, if you haven't noticed. I usually keep it under wraps - but I felt this was an appropriate forum to let some of it out.

I was a pretty miserable kid for a while. I got over some of it. :)

True

What if a whole bunch of accountants were shitty to you? Wouldn't that make you a little leery of accountants in general?

Your lacrosse team sounds like it was cool. But did result in bullying and social dismissal because of an inability to do lacrosse-type things?

So please understand that I am not casting aspersions on you with my next statements. I'm addressing something personal to me.

Rock the Kasbah has it's problems - but my biggest peeve was the non-ending. The competition itself was a major plot element but not the main focus of the film, so ending it with the competition just made it feel incomplete.

+1 for comedy. :)

Re: "parasitic opiate" - see my post above regarding my school district's funding choices.

I left Texas as soon as I could, so I never had an adult conversation about it to anyone. But Texas being what it is, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL should explain it all.

"Bless their hearts."
