Definitely agree. I've had similar discussions with some friends of mine recently.
In terms of space-themed Top 40, this is about a kajillion times better than Katy Perry's "ET."
The marching band was basically justified in our school by the football team. So I guess some good came out of it.
Gonna wrap this up. Sorry for the rage-posting. But yeah - the justification of "Sports Pride" is a big trigger for me, if you haven't noticed. I usually keep it under wraps - but I felt this was an appropriate forum to let some of it out.

Your lacrosse team sounds like it was cool. But did result in bullying and social dismissal because of an inability to do lacrosse-type things?
So please understand that I am not casting aspersions on you with my next statements. I'm addressing something personal to me.
Rock the Kasbah has it's problems - but my biggest peeve was the non-ending. The competition itself was a major plot element but not the main focus of the film, so ending it with the competition just made it feel incomplete.
+1 for comedy. :)
