I’m not saying that it’s coherent or that it makes any sense. I’m just saying that regardless of the craziness or nonsensical-ness of the canon of Hitman, the creators say it’s all in the same story/canon. It’s the way it is.

Read through the link I posted. Also, IO themselves said that Absolution and BM are in the same canon.

Just to be clear, the power that be with Hitman have said the entire series is canon. So while it may seem that Absolution (note: not my favorite Hitman game by any means) ignores Blood Money, Absolution and BM are part of the same story.
