Mainly because Jessica has been the primary driver and motivation for a lot of what Morty does and wants. He destroyed his home/native dimension/planet because of her. If they’re gonna make her such an important character and symbol for the Morty, at least give her some character and personality.
It’s a funny cartoon. I don’t know why people feel the need to connect with the joke machine characters. None of them even resemble people, they all talk like Dan Harmon writes.
The idea of two guys being friends and loving each other in 2021 is a problem because of the exploitation of homosexuality.
Full minority-in-America cast film with minority-lead-creatives about a mostly-minority neighborhood.
“Now, almost a full week later, Kemper has finally decided to respond”
I love how the article tries to insinuate that it was terrible that she took a week to respond to this manufactured controversy. Y’all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
just from a practical perspective, she was giving the owner way more than $100 worth of marketing.
Also, I wish Johnathan Tucker was in more movies.
I hope this is more Fringe than X-Files. Sucks it’s on NBC. Fox would be better because it doesn’t seem NBC pushes the boundaries that much on their shows. Though that show about the little girl who was maybe a robot was okay. What was that and will it be back?
LOL you didn’t get a pardon because you’re gay; you didn’t get a pardon because you remind him too much of his base, which as anyone with a brain knows, he wouldn’t cross the street to piss on you if you were on fire.
What? It’s not like I’m going around different articles blaring “RECOGNITIONS IS AN ABUSER.” If I said “RECOGNITIONS IS AN ABUSER” more than in these couple of comments, that would be completely overboard.
Where last year’s Good Omens inelegantly translated Pratchett’s light and sardonic prose to the screen by having Frances McDormand literally read the novel to the audience
I sure hope they don’t cut his screen time in post when they realize the other characters are more important to telling the story.
Good lord. Everyone is autistic these days. It’s the new ADHD, but less overmedicated. If you’re a lawyer then you’re on a “spectrum” of autism that is meaningless. You’re just like everyone else. Claiming fucking minstrelsy is about the most offensive thing I could imagine. You think you can lay claim to the wildly…
You think that there are “thousands” of trans actors out there that can actually act? What world do you live in? Do you know how hard it is to even find a half decent actor at all? Then you’re narrowing it down to fractions of a percentage of available actors. There are very, very few trans people in the world, less…
Hundreds if not thousands of wonderful trans actors?
I’ve really never understood the problem with actors playing roles of characters when they don’t have every trait of the character, and this article spends so much time wallowing in unearned snark that it doesn't even make an attempt to make a case for why it's bad, just assuming everyone will agree. C'est la vie, I…
I wish you could rely on people to flag this stuff. The problem is that you have to specifically go looking for this content if you want to see it (this is not the stuff that winds up on their front page) and if you’re willing to do that then you obviously aren’t going to see a problem with it. So the ones who would…
It’s crazy we live in a world where comparatively, a comic book villain may be less evil than the actual living President of the US.
