Yeah, what a mess they made, turning a character driven, black and white indie comic into one of the hottest properties on television, with the creator’s full blessing and involvement, no less. Those jerks.

Shit. You might be right. And I just might be stupid.

Having no history with Preacher at all, I thought that it looked pretty interesting and well-acted. :)

Mind you, saying that, I said the same thing about the Hellblazer adaption.
And was well wrong.

Arseface was cast mate, this is a teaser. Chill till we see the first episode or three. I think he looks like a good Preacher me.

With such a rich source material, they can’t fuck it up ... right? I hope anyways.

I found the bit where the soldiers are confronted with Zygons looking like their loved ones to be rather problematic. They’re UNIT soldiers, they know about aliens, they (presumably) recall when the Earth was transported (and all sorts of other alien encounters regular folk seem to tend to forget), and they know

You’re misreading that there. The tone was very much anti people like UKIP and the current Tory Government, who as a double fold, are stirring up that kind of sentiment but also trying to dismantle the BBC, for some context.

To me, the idea that the BBC would be pushing an anti-immigration, islamophobic rhetoric on Doctor Who sounds about as likely as Fox News advocating gun control and raising taxes on the rich.

Now playing

I’m calling that what’s in the box is something that will either kill all of the humans or all of the Zygons, but they don’t know which because it’s magically deadlock sealed. Which is a really goddamn stupid idea, because some fanatic out there is always crazy enough to believe that any world where they don’t call

I’ve seen others say it’s taking the exact opposite view.

That’d work, the beard is him being sloppy before finding a new purpose....

‘Forever Autumn’ and ‘Thunder Child’ are often played on my iPod.

a shitty Frank Miller story.

Hmm, I was hoping Cooper would shave.

Johnny Cash’s The Man in Black is not nearly as necessary as The Time of the Preacher by Willie Nelson

The pictures that came with this CD was by far the best part.

The original stageshow of Jeff Wayne's War of the World's with Richard Burton and Justin Hayward was so much better than the updated version with Liam Neeson and Marti Pello to the point that I wondered why they even bothered with the new version. Probably to squeeze more money out of something as usual.

This is awesome. I love the album ever since I was a little'un (I'm now 34), and while my parents own it on the original Vinyl, I have the 1980 remaster CD (Not the completely redone Remix album). And not only did you have the Moody Blues in there, you also had Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy and David Essex.

uuuuuullllaaaaaaaa - still my favourite ringtone.
