well, if he only rapes mimes, that doesn't sound so ba-

Diaz is real purty.

wasn't it "Louie Louie" that people were so up in arms about trying to figure out whether the lyrics were obscene that they completely missed the drummer yelling "Fuck!" when he dropped his sticks during the take?

No mention of Terriers?

Was this the season where they tried to keep old fans by having Duchovny voice-over Mulder's letters to Scully?  That was some seriously purple writing; "My dearest Dana…"  Christ.

I don't remember much of Doggett, except that he seemed to spend most of his time introducing himself to people in a hilariously terse way… "Doggett."  "This is Agent John Doggett."  "I'm Agent Doggett."  "John Doggett."  "Doggett here."  Did anybody else notice this? apoplectic?

hell yes.  great choices.

stylistically?  not at all.  aesthetically?  the fucking thing already sounds like it was recorded onto a cassette over something else.  that sudden tape warble alone in the chorus of "hardcore ufos" would be enough to fuck with anybody.  such a gloriously, shittily awesome sound.

quick(ish)?

quick! list of bands/albums that SHOULD be heard on cassette (preferably a heat-addled one):

i always preferred cassettes, especially after they'd been played to death in my hot car during the summer for a few months…

in other words, "dance, monkey, dance"?
