I feel like she gives it away when she identifies herself as “the most junior person.” If you’re going to scrutinize a long list of producers, it would make sense to start there, with the most junior person.

I feel I am missing something here. Does anyone just go to work and do their job and then go home anymore?
No, he really didn’t.
The language in these tweets sounds like every final paper written by undergraduate business majors trying to be fancy (source: I was an undergraduate business major that often tried to be fancy). *shameface*
I’m fine with what the brother chose to do. It’s his pain and he has the right to make this choice. I have a big problem with the Judge doing the same thing. And like, everyone else involved.
Not forgiving doesn’t do anything, either. All you do is burn up inside, gradually eat away at yourself. You think that’s winning? You think that makes you powerful?
It’s hard work to stay in top of evolving social issues. I understand the phenomenon of letting your views crystallize as you get older and stop putting in the effort to be curious and informed. Luckily there is a simple and effective method for not attracting scorn due to outdated views: shut the fuck up.
Woodward, of course, was not the only journalist of his era who brushed those allegations aside. Seymour Hersh, the Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter, in his memoir Reporter, had this to say on why he chose not to report on the abuse allegations: “All I could say is that at the time I did not—in my…
Can we at least group these under a special Kinja site for the authors who clearly vape and need an outlet to write about it or whatever is going on? Because it’s getting kinda ridiculous at this point— they can call it “Poof” or something
Excellent point! Esther is clearly trying to justify a poor habit and using her platform to do so. No telling how many impressionable people will read this and get the wrong message.
Seriously, you need help. You are making yourself look incredibly foolish.
Thank you for mentioning this! No one is addressing that teen nicotine addiction is a problem. Cigarettes are at least disgusting. Not Juuls, they’re cute and little and have dessert flavors!
This leads me to my biggest question about Vaping. I see a ton of people say they used Vaping to quit smoking, however, did those people then go on to quit vaping? It seems like most continue to vape as an alternative to smoking.
I’d be happy if she just worked on getting free of writing about them.
Glad you did a column fueled by expertise, although I’d still like to talk about how Juul has increased youth addiction. If we’re talking about public health, it has to include the health of the entire public, not just, “Vaping is fine (for adults who are trying to quit smoking).” Opioids are great, for end stage…
Esther, man,
Elizabeth Warren should use this guy and others like him as an example for why her 2% wealth tax on hundred millionaires and billionaires wouldn’t be in the least detrimental to them. They could pay the tax and still live like this if they wanted. It kills me when I see people who make a hundred grand a year or less…
I do the same thing when I travel. I pay multiple fares on public transit to eliminate the inefficiencies.
