I’ve experienced extreme racism since I was a kid in the US. Some things they [police, teachers, caucasian adults] got away with you’d never believe. It’s odd because people were really upfront about racism during the 1980s, and yet people think it has lessened from only a few decades time. I know from ancient

Gosh, as a first generation Asian-Canadian, that was a hard video to watch because I totally feel her pain. I’m kind of an older and more cynical version of her. She’s so young I’m wondering if this was maybe the very first time she experienced just blatant hatred directed at her purely due to her race (as opposed to

WTF did I just watch?!?

Other outlets are reporting the woman’s full name is Tami Barker, and that she is an ESL instructor at a local community college. Someone’s in the wrong line of work.

As an Asian person I would like to say how frustrating it can be to tell people, yes we experience racism. And they’ll be like well you guys are so smart! And you’ll be fine.

If she wants to know what it is really like to be traumatized maybe she should go to a real protest, where the people actually believe in something and the cops show up in riot gear. You know, the ones that look a little more like this:

“The world sees her as this glamorous, sophisticated, jet-setting woman,

cry me a fucking river Kendall
