This is pretty much the Libertarian wet dream, which is why we should all recoil in horror at libertarians and their insane arguments and claims.

I don’t necessarily owe anyone an explanation, but sometimes life circumstances change.

We didn’t end up living in the Scamp because a global pandemic happened and we were forced to stay inside for a year and a half, then I got pulled across the country for a job. We’re currently looking for something slightly larger

The word “Waco” was thrown around rather generously.

It’s Ford chasing the Cybertruck and Rivian bruhs to its own detriment. Most of them would never have considered an F150, and a Lightning that looks just like an F150 is not appealing. There’s no ‘look at me’ factor that the Rivian/Cybertruck has.

the number of all-electric F-150 Lightning trucks that the Blue Oval shifted between July and September was down by a massive 45 percent.

RE: The Lightning.  It’s stupid expensive, it’s huge, and the crossover between people that want EVs and want full-size pickups is going to be a limited market (especially given the “sometimes I need to tow a fully laden semi” mindset that often permeates that market).  I like the looks of it, and what it can do, but

It doesn’t matter if you believe they should be making $100k/year. What does matter is if you vocalize it to the point of dragging that other crab down in the bucket you’re in.

It’s a good thing you aren’t negotiating for the UAW, then.

Cost of living was much lower in 1912. Wage stagnation is real.

Based on the statement regarding insourcing, it sounds like Ford et al are aiming to merely outsource the 40% reduction. Which, in the end, comes out the same for the nation.

Lol, the crim got pinched. That Little bitch learned another lesson...

I know Toyota & Subaru do. Most luxury models have it. It still varies a lot on my rentals who has it and most of those are 2020 or newer.

Since it’s a safety thing, many brands now put it as a suite across all trims. Honda Sensing. Subaru eyesight, Toyota Safety Sense, Acura Watch. Nissan Shield. It’s not considered a luxury thing, it’s like airbags and seatbelts now.

Yes you are a fellow old.  I remember when power ANYTHING was an option just like AC, cruise and anything more than am/fm radio

Old

Closing on my first house next month and I’m been looking at lawnmowers. I think I’ll get an electric robot mower. They’re a bit pricier, but the idea of sitting back and watching the lawnmower do it's thing from the comfort of my own home seems very appealing.

My mower seized the engine a couple years ago and I started using an electric mower my wife had leftover from her old house. It’s been great and I wouldn’t want to go back. Much quieter, plus it’s lighter and easier to maneuver.

I’m guessing HD sees the sales figures trending towards eventual electrification and figured it was a good time to get some PR by reframing consumer preference as a difficult eco conscious choice. Props to them for accelerating the trend, but I don’t think this is going to hurt them at all. Getting non-catalyzed small

Excellent example of a system problem being blamed on individuals.

As a worker who has struck in this century, I have had a security guard reach for his gun at a facility we were picketing and have also been threatened by police with arrest while scabbing managers were hurling insults at us.
