I have a hard time believing that the actuaries are intentionally adjusting their data to change the premiums in minority neighborhoods. Could there be something in the actuarial models that does not show up in the profile Consumer Reports and Pro Publica are using? there is racism in America.

There’s been a lot of speculation about why minorities have lower credit on average, but I think a lot of it is just less access to sources of capital. If you come from a less wealthy family, you can’t run to mom and dad when you can’t pay your credit card bill.
