Car-only people are so easily impressed.

Good to know, but how much an average car fire uses would be better for context.

I’ve seen a few in the Toronto area. I actually took a test drive in one, didn’t even need to pretend to be interested. Definitely worth the time to sign up, staff were no-pressure friendly and the car wasn’t as bad as I expected (helpful when expectations were on the floor).

You covered all the bases! A star for you.

This is the “I have the most extreme use case therefore it’s bad” or “I will never be satisfied” argument.

Can’t wait for the EV naysayers/climate denialist excuses on why this is a bad thing.

Super simple advice for one of the most anxiety inducing maneuvers.

I can’t star this enough.

Seconded. You’re changing it anyway, don’t waste any more time/money/resources on it than you need to.

The responsible thing for Mercedes to do would be to buy it and put it in their own museum along with an exhibit where they own up to their past (via the aforementioned dozens of placards).

I can’t wait for more bad advice!

I think this is a part of why EV sales are tanking, manufacturers are including ALL THE THINGS in their base EVs.

This is so infuriating. Fuck that guy who decided whatever bullshit was on his phone was more important than driving. And fuck techbros for their Self Driving car bullshit. I hope the family of the motorcyclist sues the crap out of them.

Can we also talk about this in the context of fucking everything is expensive? Like groceries and gas? Rent? Housing prices? I’d love that perspective on things too, rather than just “EV expensive, no one buy”.

I for one am shocked, SHOCKED I TELL YOU, that British people were being racist.

And thank you for bringing this level of discourse to a major publication. I’m continually impressed not only by the writers understanding and sharing of the issues we face, but by (most of) the commentariat who support it.

Dis you?

No, and my edit removed the part where I said under no circumstance is staking ok. My bad.

Both Swift and Musk are literally living in a different world than the rest of us while claiming that they need to be immune to it’s effects. They’re trying to define themselves as normies when they clearly aren’t. They both have enough money to pay for security (hell, they can afford a private army).

SO MUCH THIS.
