You make a lot of good points and thanks for the sources, but overall I have to point out - you seem to be advocating for perfection when what we need is progress. As the original article states, we’ve known for 50 years (actually, even as far back as the late 1800's people realized CO2 was changing the atmosphere)…
Regardless of where you charge it, it’s cleaner than individual ICE cars running around; even generating power with coal is more efficient per tonne of CO2.
