Glad to see Mythical Kitchen getting some heat now. Its a really fun channel.

I definitely watched to see how he’d do an what the show would feel like. I thought the cold open was a little hard to take in because it feels so true, so I respect that they got me to laugh as much as they did. The monologue went about how you’d expect it—a nervous standup in a potentially hostile room who wants to…
The ones around me often have a drive-through code to get a breakfast sandwich for $1.50. I refuse to pre-order fast food since the fries especially lose their luster after about 10 minutes (ok, longer if I’m pretty hungry).
I couldn’t help comparing Rosa’s to Del Taco a bit at first. I’m less inclined to do that now, but I think it was just good meat and good cheese.
Yeah. My area has some good local spots too, which I left out for the sake of something approaching a 1-to-1 with other fast food. I’ve got 2 Taco Bells near me--one that’s kinda nice but in a less affluent area and one that’s less nice in a more affluent area. If I were the type to draw conclusions from small sample…
At my local, at least, it looks like they’ve ditched the normal Taco Salad. There are a few promising items on the new menu, but cutting the classics seems really dumb to me. I’m hoping we’ll see a discounted “classics” menu come out in the near future.
Del Taco has smaller regular tacos, but they taste good. And I prefer their hot sauces to Taco Bell’s. Around high school, there was as Del Taco one town over from where I grew up in California, so we’d usually hit Del Taco for lunch when my friend and I were in town because it was cheap and tasty. I’d get 5 tacos and…
I think what we’re losing is that vocal crack (and some extra noise when Usher first started singing) reinforces that the vocals were actually live (something that’s been debated from the performance through to now). I wonder if it bothered her at all or not. When I hear her singing voice, it sounds to me like like…
Check out what Cody Fry has to say about it all -- it’s on his Instagram and in Rolling Stone right now. Basically it sounds like everyone says they’re for the artists, but no one is asking the artists what they think.
How long before they just start releasing remasters to big theater runs like they did with Star Wars in the 90s? Why bother remaking a great movie when you can just shine up a classic and re-promote it?
Didn’t I read this article about 6 months ago on here, or am I misremembering?
I don’t like this.
Intermissions sound good—I think there should be options: screenings with and without intermissions. Cinephiles can choose the pricier non-intermission version of the film while the rest of us gladly sip our sodas and cram handfulls of popcorn into out mouths because we know we’ll get 15 minutes to pee soon.
I’ve had a good few 7-11 Hot Dogs. Their cookies are good. Not so hot on the pizza, but sometimes they do $1 slices and if you’re in a rush and not watching what you eat too closely, it’s hard to beat.
Thanks for providing more context.
YouTube implemented rules that sponsored content had to be clearly stated, and it was only weird for about a week, then it was normal. Others can do the same and bypass any future issues entirely. Of course, I’m sure that threatens the “independent” image that many influencers would rather protect, seeing as social…
Agreed! I regret I didn’t remember that one when I was typing that. There is hope for extended absence sequels when the projects are in the right hands.
Is that a veiled “Some Kinda Robot” Strongbad emails reference? If so, nice! If not, it should be.
I’m glad he said it they way he did - they’re in it to have some more fun. If they’re having fun with it, I’m happy. The original will always be great regardless of what comes next—great enough that if what comes next sucks, we’ll probably just forget about it. Kinda like the ok but not great thing they did in the…
The reason he said it is because the skill, to many comedians, is in finding a way to say the thing you’re not supposed to say and get people to laugh at it. Take it or leave it, that’s a lot of what standups do.
