That’s quite a cast for “Sammy!”

I looked into it more and I misinterpreted the rhetorical use of “silent majority.” I think the idea I stated still applies but that’s not how the phrase gets used in practice. Live and learn, I guess...

That sounds incredibly close! It’s like they used the GB theme as a temp track and liked it too much to use something different, so they had someone tweak it just enough. Maybe it’s an “homage” to that piece.

In-N-Out fries are fine. Any thoughts on their shakes? Which fast food place has the better vanilla shake? That’s a question I’m more interested in.

I agree. Every so often, something like the “Instagram Guitarist” issue comes up, but even then it’s so much tamer than this horse crap.

Historically, I would ignore stuff like this. Now that one of my kids is approaching adolescence, I’m getting more concerned that these kinds of channels do so well. When I was a teenager, people were afraid kids would injure themselves imitating Jackass. Now I’m afraid kids will be traumatizing each other in the name

These food wars could get dangerous. I dread the coming days when Kurt Loder returns to the airwaves to somberly announce that the Burger King was struck down in a drive-thru shooting, only to see the same happen to Ronald McDonald days later in retaliation for the first, allegedly. Wendy will sing the hook on a

I wonder where these folks would be if they hadn’t found each other on the Internet. Maybe some of them would have had a few errant thoughts, but since no one else would have agreed, they’d either have to change course or become isolated. I’m sure a portion of them were convinced by things they “found” online

Yes to 5:30pm dinner! Shoutout to the “come home to eat when the streetlights come on” crew!

Bill Burr and Bert Kreischer released an episode of their Bill Bert Podcast this week, with George Lopez as a guest, and they spent a good chunk of time talking about how they all loved Charlie Murphy, so maybe that got some folks thinking about it...

I just saw more of the comments and I’m not alone lol.

Where do you land on Resident Evil? I’d say the first movie wasn’t bad. The second one was a little bad but not awful. I didn’t see any of the rest.

I think this director is being smart about it—a game is supposed to be fun, but a story needs drama and drama needs relatable stakes. I feel better about the movie with these comments than before I read and heard them, but maybe that’s just because I remember Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. So much about that movie was

I sometimes think about how my Grocery Checkout Clerk uncle supported a wife and two daughters—on the Central Coast of California—through the 80s and 90s. They even home-schooled one of their daughters for several years. His wife eventually started working as a school librarian and he retired. They recently sold their

I think the context for this article is when you’re meeting people outside of trying to get a job—when the idea isn’t to impress them or convey something in a resume, but to have a better conversation. It’s not that they never matter; they just matter less to the average person you meet when the world reopens more.

I’m disappointed, but I’m glad the creators are willing to leave it rather than continue it out of obligation and risk decline. And who knows? In a world of reboots, remakes, and sequels, they might even have the option to return to the stories in a few years if it strikes their fancy again.

I think one of the issues in 1st world countries is that we assume more people will be healthier for longer in them, prescriptions aside. Hospital systems are advanced, but they’re not designed to handle large portions of the population being sick. Remember, the lock-downs/quarantines/stay home orders were never put

Maybe it’s not really the “cancel” part that gets them. Maybe it’s the “culture” part. Because conservatives tend to identify with Reagan’s concept of the “silent majority,” they see themselves both as regular people but also as those on the outside of society and hold both simultaneously with zero cognitive dissonance

I bought some caffeine-free Pepsi this weekend! I saw some caffeine-free Dr. Pepper, too. They have caffeine-free Diet Coke, but no caffeine-free regular Coca Cola. At least that’s what it looked like at my local Wal-Mart on Saturday evening around 7:30.

When that first missile hits Meca Hawk in Pilotwings 64...
