I love Toriyama's art style, but the cranked-out 50+ episode per year schedule sure produced some shitty animation.

I'm pretty sure this was just a weird coincidence. Toei made up the Maron girlfriend while Toriyama was still working on the chapters that introduced Marron as Krillen's daughter. There was even a joke about it in yesterday's Super episode.

I liked that arc a lot except for the ending. Dragon Ball has almost always had pretty low stakes because the dragon balls are a built-in reset button, but Super does have a mellower vibe overall. It's kind of an extended Dragon Ball after party.

I'd hardly call this problem "unaddressed," since it has been the single biggest source of controversy in the black metal scene for many years, and has resulted in a lot of canceled shows and arguments.
