+1000 points for the perky voice. Best tactic!

I’m 30 (heyyy) and I just laugh when people ask me. What I do after laughing depends on the person. If it’s my mother-in-law and her cronies, my response is pretty much, “No way! Mr. Tree and I are still so young. We’re having way too much fun to start a family right now (insert vapid giggle here)!” Basically I act

Are we the same person? Because I have also run out of fucks at my job and decided that I would be better off elsewhere.

Your neighbors stink!

I’ve totally broken my pinky toe from walking into a wall...

I was about to star for your use of “pigrone” before I read the last sentence. Starred all the same, but now I am confused as to whether I should be clapping for your mother-in-law or feeling mortified.

I seriously love you so much for this, and for listening to your daughter.

Oh, don’t worry about us. I work in retail and our skill-sets carry over pretty well into the restaurant industry, which is booming.

Truth! I went to six different bridal stores one Saturday (this was years ago) and was turned away from every single one because I didn’t have an appointment. Wait - actually there was one store that didn’t send me away; they let me on a waiting list and I did get to try on a couple dresses but the experience was so

We have a simple rule in my house which is “no tech at the table,” meaning that if we are sitting down for a meal, no devices allowed. Other than that, we don’t limit too much. However, I do use a blue-light blocker on my devices. Originally I did this to help with my insomnia, but in general I find I don’t get nearly

Thank you! <3

Thank you, so am I! *hugs*

The thing is, everyone lands differently on this one. For me personally, politics is non-negotiable, full stop. This isn’t to say there aren’t plenty of couples out there who have made it work with differing political ideologies. Relationships are always hard work, regardless of politics, and it’s just a matter of

Your brain is lying to you.

I can’t tell you what to do, but coming from someone who has been suicidal, I truly, truly hope you don’t. Just because you’ve had the thought doesn’t mean you have to follow through with it. It doesn’t have to become reality.

I just want to veer off topic for a moment to thank you for being her friend. I have been suicidal in the past, and people I loved left me because of it. Either because they didn’t really love me or because they loved me too much to handle the uncertainty. I’ve never been certain which, though as I grow older and meet

I don’t know if this will be useful to you, but something that has helped me move forward from my childhood is “talking” to childhood me. I like visualization techniques a lot and so I imagine Gloomy Tree having conversations with Gloomy Sapling. I like to reassure her, and tell her how awesome she is.

To make a really long story short, my good this week is that I finally got on anti-anxiety medication and it has been life changing.

Yes!! Literally ALL the potatoes!

I can vouch for the Gardein brand roast! Trader Joe’s is usually pretty reliable although I haven’t tried this particular product from them.
