They are using threats of violence in an attempt to affect political change. That’s officially ‘terrorism’.

That is just terrible... and their reaction on being confronted with the abuse was to say that if the child was there they would make him wish he wasn’t alive.

It’s largely a migratory stop for many of species of birds, though there are also a variety of other native animal species that use the land. It was established nearly 100 years ago as a response to the near decimation of many native Oregon bird species from over-hunting for the hat industry.

That whole family is batshit crazy, y’all. A member of the family has recounted multiple instances of sever physical child abuse, including a situation where Steven Hammond sandpapered the victim’s skin off. (Police report attached includes graphic images of the cited occurrence. Be warned.)

That is exactly what I thought as well. Like they were going to make their own The Village or something. Except...that area is sincerely in the middle of NOwhere and is freezing cold, and miserable, and there's barely any WiFi (just kidding there's none at all). What kind of leaders do that to their people.

Great article. You know what else is interesting, they are Mormon. Did not know that. I was directed to this article: Explainer: The Bundy Militia’s Particular Brand Of Mormonism and thought it provided some crucial context for this whole thing (also explained the name Ammon and that dude calling himself “Captain

I would disagree, Ammon, “peaceful people” rarely take over Federal buildings with arms and then refuse to leave and threaten to engage in violence if they are forced to.

“We are peaceful people.”

It’s amazing. Liberals get accused ALL THE TIME of manufacturing outrage. These people are acting like they want to start a civil war because some guys duly convicted by a jury of arson will have to serve the legally mandated sentence for that crime. Christ.

This is nonsense. They don’t want to die. They want to say “I’m prepared to die for the Constitution” so that people will go “Wow, these guys want to die, they’re a scary right-wing death cult!” They’re morons. They’re morons loitering in a shack.

Listen, the very notion that they’re genuinely “doing” anything is flattering to them. If they were serious about some sort of insurrection against government, they could—would—have picked virtually any other building in North America to start it. They don’t want a fight. They want to get interviewed on Fox News.

Despite his lack of aggressive mug-rattling, he’s still pulling in donations. And he’s been running a very low-cost campaign - t-shirts and town hall appearances don’t cost that much, and he hasn’t had to spend a dime on traditional media ads, because the media has been giving him all the airtime he could want for

You’ll find him wrapped in bandages, sleeping in a grain sarcophagus.

Has anyone awoken Dr. Carson yet to tell him the news?

Really? You’re going to be that guy?

Constand didn’t file her civil suit until after the D.A. said he wouldn’t prosecute. She cooperated with the police investigation completely, to the best of my knowledge, so her ability to testify should not have been a factor.
