I am in Quebec, and I have seen a lot of leatherette cracking in the cold. Granted, it’s probably better now, but still. Plus, I don’t want to waste precious time and resources conditioning fake leather. 

Don't get it either. Fake leather is hot in the summer, crack in the winter, and is bad for the environment. I would never pay a premium for that.

Québec is a bigger city than Akron. It’s 500k without the suburbs, and with the metropolitan area, it’s 800k, slightly bigger than Winnipeg. You also have regions like Saguenay and Mauricie that are fairly near, and some people there had season tickets during the Nordiques years.

TVA has an unwatched (and frankly unwatchable) sports network in dire need of content. 

Habs have 60 millions a year in French regional TV rights. I think a Nordiques team would get half that.

I think Vasilevski is better than Bishop. I would trade Bishop while he still has some value.
