As a kid, I remember seeing these AMC cars and knowing something was off with them. Later in life, I found out they were all 4x4 which caused them to be slightly lifted which was the odd thing I was noticing.

I used to bartend at what most considered a dive bar in a rich neighborhood. The owner kept prices high because rich people think they are getting something special when they pay too much for it.

no but the phaeton was a luxury car. nothing tesla makes is a luxury car. theyre more on par with acura than mercedes.
4th gear. I think smoother, clearer marked, and better lit roads would make a big impact too. But nobody seems to talk about that method of reducing traffic fatalities.

Tesla is not a luxury automobile brand. They don’t even have massaging seats. You know what has available massage seats? The F-150.
Not every vehicle you sell has to be luxury in order for you to be a luxury car maker. Tesla charges luxury car prices without offering luxury products.
BMW has a history of making luxury vehicles. Just because a 2 series may not be considered luxury, doesn’t mean a 7 series isn’t either.
Just selling a car for a high price does not make it a “luxury” car.
One can only guess these folks have never sat inside a Tesla. Luxury wouldn’t be the first word that comes to mind.
