I read Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler," and "The Master Builder," and was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. Those, plus McCarthy's "Blood Meridian," which had gorgeous prose and some disturbing as hell scenes. Still, very much worth the read.

Et tu, Birdman?
Are you me? I saw that too when I was a kid, but was convinced that I had been the only one. That song definitely stuck in my memory, and I remember it giving me a lot of…funny feelings at the time.
I can't imagine how sordid and depressing it must feel to hand over the reins of the presidency to the same man who slandered and talked shit about you for years on end.

Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood, and Anthony Hopkins were all excellent, as were Thandie Newton and Ed Harris. Hell, even James Marsden made me sorry that he was put through the wringer so many times, something I never thought…

Running right into Russell Crowe's thoughtful arms.
You know how he feels about sand.
Pretty hyped to see "Moonlight" and "The Handmaiden," though given my shut-in tendencies, I'll probably just wait until my local library gets them.
So George Lucas has apparently seen it and by all accounts enjoyed it. Take that as you will.
Someone needs to inform Trump that we're living in a society!
Sad upvote.
Josh Hartnett redeemed himself for me with "Penny Dreadful." Ben Affleck, well, that's a whole other story.
Anyone else getting bad vibes from the fact that Trump is going to have 10 goddamn rallies on his little thank you tour? I would not be at all surprised if this becomes a regular thing throughout his administration. Hell, I wouldn't even blink if he starts having two a month starting in January.
