Yes! Not that good though in retrospect.

Hadn't thought of this show in a while. Thanks.
It's not just gravy in the real world. Few prosecutions ever go forward without the cooperation of the victim. I know of none. Technically, you're right - crimes are against the state, but with rape, the incident would probably need to be on unambiguous video for a DA to go forward with a non-cooperating victim.
So the reviewer doesn't have a driver's license? No one without a license should be able to review an LA-based saga.
Withdrawn consent can be tough cases to prove, and I know DAs personally who are afraid to go to trial with them.
Are you saying homosexuality is just a "phase." ? :)
This assumes the prosecution generally goes in the direction of the truth. Usually, they pick a theory and stick with it no matter what the evidence shows.
Is this review long and meandering enough or what?
You must be the first person outside of government who uses the term ISIL. Are you in the CIA?
Qlivesmatter.
"As usual [the AV Club reviewer] takes the opportunity to bore everyone to death with his callous politics." Fixed it for ya.
Hilariously well done!
Spot on. That's why he talked about a "hospital or a morgue." One tough hombre, that one.
But we the viewers are subject to confirmation bias since we saw the whole set- up. Allison's confirmation bias was that it was real, and even a from a neutral pov, it probably doesn't look all that fake. Knowing ahead of time that it was faked, I looked pretty hard at the photo and I think Allison's credulous…
How meta can it geta.
My knowledge is mostly about state-run prisons, not the feds. But the state ones are run on a similar for-profit of the union members. Instead of defined contribution retirement, they get guaranteed benefits for a much, much smaller percentage of contributions. The state prison unions are some of biggest lobbyists…
Maybe that should have chosen a field other than putting people in cages working for government. Their pensions are so huge that they are the major cause of California's government bankruptcy. The huge pension benefits have eliminated all but a trivial amount of the budget going to relieving prisoner conditions or…
I don't see that Carrie's bipolar episode(s) hurts the show at all. Hard almost to recall now how revolutionary a character Carrie was when the show first aired and we got the first glimpse in her medicine cabinet.
As an attorney who practiced civil and criminal trial work, I love how the show accurately portrays the on-the-spot thinking needed and often there for the lawyer's when they need it. Ditto the judges with all their quirks that we see so often in real life - big city or small. I agree with the reviewer's concerns…
