This Kantaro thing looks a lot like the manga/tv show Kodoku no Gurume,—they both went to real world spots—but more stylized. So it might be right up my alley; but Gurume’s low-key everyday quaintness was really what drew me to it. And the food. The food was great too.

When I was a kid there was an older kid at the local arcade who’d play Time Crisis with that exact same technique. I always thought he was weird for doing that. Today he is vindicated.

I can’t really think of any other recent good movie that didn’t need a sequel as much as Sicario, but, uhhh, that didn’t look nearly as bad as I expected it to look. Nice cast, too.
