Last 50 years? Buick Grand National, GMC Syclone / Typhoon, C4 up to current Corvette, Cobalt SS, new GTO, G8, Solstice / Sky, 6th gen Camaro..

Based on the price and condition, I’m thinking this would be ripe for some car-based shenanigans.

My 2009 Z06 is 3180 lbs and it has a 7 liter v8 and same number of seats... Yea that’s really not light.

Fun? I’d say a 99-02 LS1 M6 F-body.

Nearly $10k for a nearly 20 year old car that’s not really sought after? That seems absurd.

1980 Triumph Spitfire and 1968 Olds Cutlass. On of ‘em is a bit easier to get around to grab stuff in the garage.

the answer, before the miata existed

I’m not spending $30K on any 15 year old German car unless it has the engine in the back or 12 cylinders up front.

Yeah the H2 was a gargantuan “fuck you” to sensibility, moderation, and...well...all of humanity. And it was primarily purchased by people that enjoyed those qualities.

If you could crack open the rear window like a Toyota and roll it down lightly, maybe that would be the way to go. Create an air stream that goes front to back.

A 27 litre tank engine? Mid-mount it in the bed of an old Mercury pickup

Amen! Personally, I am smitten with the Klein Mantra.

What’s confusing? It’s a fast SUV, see also BMW X5M and Mercedes AMG’ing of everything. I love to have the cash to afford a X5M but alas, I’m not a 1%’er. The Jeep is overpriced though.

Maybe I’m nitpicking, but doesn’t adding a lift to a truck you are trying to market as “Off-Road Ready” sorta prove that it isn’t?

Father of two here. Did a ton of research to get a vehicle that could handle car seats behind my 6'3" ass. I can tell you, having looked at the specs, that the Maverick will absolutely not baby, unless the parents are short and the car seat goes in the middle.

P.S. We ended up with an Odyssey, which actually has

How usable are the rear seats? Could 2 adults ride comfortably back there for 2 hours? Could a family with 2 kids use it as a short roadtrip car?
