I begged my boss at my last job to let me stay on DST and she would not. Who can just change their own hours like that? 

But right now in the winter the kids have to walk home in the dark. I don’t understand why morning dark is objectively worse than evening dark. Middle school gets out at 4 pm, and any highschooler in any extracurricular leaves at 5. And right now, highschoolers still go to school in the dark in the winter.

Most daycares close at 6:30. How is a 12-14 hour day supposed to make childcare easier? That would be a nightmare trying to figure out.
