My problem is that if I let my son play on a screen before the doctor sees him, he won’t want to stop playing when the doctor gets to the room, which can lead to a meltdown and a tough time with the exam. The wait time is so varied too, some days we wait 5 minutes, others we wait 30- so it’s hard for a little kid to

I saw an article that blamed the stress response of the pandemic for a lot of the aggressive behavior lately. We’ve lived a collective trauma, it’s not over, and our society isn’t set up for us to heal from this. People are massively burnt out, and it’s no excuse to be an asshole, but it’s something to consider when

The warning on prescriptions says to discuss the med with your doctor if you are pregnant. If I were pregnant and my doctor wrote me a prescription and that label were on it, I would hope it had already been determined that it was more beneficial than risky for me, and not that I need to call my doctor again to

At Wendy’s you have to order the “value size” if you want a small. And you can’t get a small combo.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon in Hawaii 10 years ago and we opted for bus passes over rental cars. I would definitely recommend it- driving while traveling always kinda sucks, especially in cities. We were able to get everywhere in Honolulu easily- and all the other major tourist destinations nearby. We only

I’m including a screen grab of the lyrics in a video project I’m working on and it’s so fun.

I just made cupcakes for our guests (just the grandparents and uncles) and then a half sized cake for our household when we had a covid birthday party. Candles were on the cake, cupcakes brought out after. It worked pretty well for us.

I started out not sure I wanted any, but one day my period was late and I was disappointed instead of relieved by the negative test. A year or so later, we started trying. It took 10 months to get pregnant. Pregnancy was fairly uneventful, and I felt great, but I ended up with gestational hypertension and had to be

Now this is using a terrible system to do some good.

No, Carnival at least is VERY strict about sick staff. A family member used to work for them, and he always said that they do not fuck around with sick crew- if you don’t report norovirus symptoms and quarantine immediately, you get fired. Staff quarters were no more packed than guests, and sick crew do not interact

No, the crew can call in sick- in fact, if they don’t call in and quarantine if they have symptoms of norovirus they will be fired immediately. A family member used to work for carnival, and they did not fuck around with norovirus. And even with that, outbreaks happened often enough to be in the news every summer.

Well it the water is 35 degrees, the air should be at least...65?

So, I only watch tennis when my father in law does, but the interviews are really that important as part of this tournament?

Don’t forget childcare! I paid $200 a week pre-pandemic for one toddler. $15 an hour for 20 hours a week is $300. That would cover daycare, but not by a whole lot (also, I’m not doing tax math. It would be less than $300)

I’m trying to make one for tech support demos and it’s so frustrating.

If your child were in a high risk category, you’d understand how herd immunity works and you’d want all their classmates vaccinated too.

I got chicken pox when I was 4 and now I could get shingles 50 years later. I’ll take my chances with a safe vaccine before a disease with unknown long term outcomes.

Another factor is childcare. Maybe the job at KFC pays better than unemployment, but I doubt it pays enough to cover childcare costs. And it certainly isn’t going to guarantee set hours during the school day.

But then why wouldn't planned parenthood just do the abortions? The first time anyone tries to enforce this law, they have their lawsuit.

When our son was diagnosed with epilepsy, our neurologist was really adamant that we never, ever try to drive him ourselves if the rescue meds didn’t stop the seizure or if he was having trouble breathing. She said to call 911. It’s not overkill, it’s not dramatic. Call the ambulance.
