Antivaxxers believe in their heart of hearts that a child with autism is dead, gone, taken, or something like that. They even justify the killing of autistic children by their parents, blaming not the parents but the vaccines. It’s always the vaccines.

On the different anti-vax groups online, they’re now saying that

And there’s more: California members of the Nation of Islam are also against SB 277, with Minister Tony Muhammad claiming it’s similar to the Tuskegee experiments, where black soldiers were purposely infected with syphilis without their knowledge and left untreated.

That, and the states have police powers to enforce public health laws, and people’s individual beliefs may not put others at danger, and blah, blah, blah.

SCOTUS has ruled over and over that the state has the authority to compel people to vaccinate, religious beliefs be damned. Religious liberties stop where the public’s health begins, according to at least three Supreme Court rulings that I’m too lazy to look up.

I personally know several of the people who worked behind the scenes and also who testified in favor of this bill. The amount of hate and threats they received from the anti-vaccine crowd was unbelievable. Everything from doxing to online threats, to following them everywhere. It was scary.

You made me laugh, and I curse you for it.

Now imagine this happening with the paternoster, and the head seeing what the camera saw as it went up over the top and down. ;-)

There was a doctor in Texas who was decapitated by a regular elevator. A woman sat inside the elevator with the severed head for a long time until they were able to get her out.

I traveled from DC to Seoul on a 747 with an empty seat between myself and a very pleasant young lady. Then, on the way back, I traveled on a 777 with an empty seat between myself and a retired Marine. “Navy pilot,” he mumbled as we hit some moderate turbulence. (Come to think of it, that flight back was pretty much

Who knew the USAMNT could beat Germany’s U-17 so badly?

My doctoral thesis will require some digitization onto a map of a major American city. Google maps just doesn’t cut it, and satellite companies charge an arm and a leg for high-resolution maps. So I’ve been looking at hiring someone with Mark’s abilities to take pictures that I can digitize into a GIS map. How could I

God bless you, anonymous internet person, for speaking the truth about Christ on this message board.

The world ended. We barely survived.

Is it really that bad an idea to charge farmers and other consumers of high volumes of water a certain rate so that they’ll conserve while keeping water for household use at a low rate and for drinking for free? That’s what the Nestle guy was talking about, but he didn’t really explain it well. He wasn’t talking about

And, “If it wasn’t for my pony, I would have never gone to college.”

Lots of concentration camps nowadays in America, huh? Maybe some run by FEMA?

If they want to make kryptonite “believable” in the real world, I’d make it so that it’s a byproduct of the terraforming machines the Kryptonians deployed. I mean, if they were going to make Earth like Krypton, then — like it is on Earth — I’d say that the machines created naturally radioactive elements that would be

German Shepherd, not shepard. Minor thing. :-)

I’d say let Vladimir do all the flybys and displays of power he wants. They’re not cheap, and he doesn’t really have the cash, especially with Saudi Arabia still pumping oil and bringing the price down. Just like the USSR, let him hoist himself by his own petard.
