I still use Adam Pash's "texter" for text expansion. After all these years, it's worked well for me on a Win7 machine, even for the most complex stuff.
Believe it or not, this is a lot of energy to be countered with anything we have, short of a nuke. I mean, it takes mountains, big, huge ones, to dissipate that much energy "safely," and we still get torrential rains and pretty bad horizontal winds out of it.
