Well you are going to be disappointed when you find out the C43 isnt a real AMG, and is just a rebadged C450.

Read this. If it doesnt help; I give up. Specifically the bottom part.
Then what is wrong with driving a C450 sport 4matic? The name doesnt make the car better.
Hopefully. It is going to be funny in reviews when the C43 “AMG” is getting trounced by the run of the mill S5 and 440i.
That is not the same thing and you know it. They didnt take the S500 and rename it S50 AMG. You are just trying to be difficult.
Nobody would have a problem if it was C450 AMG or AMG Sport. It is the fact that they rebadged, gave it the two letter name, and a carbon copy of the C63 body. The M235i is clearly not a M2. If BMW puts one letter behind the M it is the real deal. When you see A45, C63, E55, S63, SL65, S65 you know it is 100% full…
Those are not the same thing. When BMW comes out with a sub M# car and Audi comes out with a sub RS# car then we can have this conversation. It is well established that X## AMG is the big dog true AMG car and Mercedes just took a massive shit on that.
Blast em.
It is shocking how badly that screen was intergrated into the car. It looks a complete after thought when the car was designed. Like the forgot to put it in there and stuck it on.
The point is that it is out to confuse people into thinking they are getting a M or quattro level car when they are just getting a run of the mill Audi and BMW competitor.
The M sport package changes what it does depending on the car. On the 435i it changes the suspension tuning and if you have the track package it changes the steering and brakes. Also you can throw on a M-performance exhaust from the dealer (post factory though) and get a hp boost. The changes depend on the car, but…
S cars are never and never will be RS knock-offs. They are midranged cars. How is this related in anyway? When they come out with a knock off RS not made by quattro we can have this discussion.
Watching car enthusiasts people defend this is mind blowing.
So to make it less confusing they made two C-class “AMG”s? I do not believe what you have said without a source. If MB did say that; they are lying. They did it to steal sales from the coming S5 and 440i, because they know people will be attracted by the two number AMG badge name.
The AMG-sport models weren’t as different as they try to make it out to be. They are the equivalent of slapping an M sport package option on the car. An M car it does not make.
Not it is even easier to fake owning an AMG. You can just buy it off the lot. ahaha Disgraceful
It is unfortunate. Why not just call it C450 AMG or AMG sport and leave the two number designation to the real AMGs? Never mind, I know why.
Yep. MB clearly has no shame. At least BMW will put the full numbers on the car instead of intentionally being deceitful.
This is a travesty. Rebadging C450 doesnt make it an AMG.
