You say that, but the A4 still has and always has had optional engines while the S4 always had an engine inbetween an A4 and RS4 (when it was for sale).

That is not the same thing. S isnt just halfed asses RS. S is just a faster A while RS is a quattro developed car. They are not trying to sell S cars as RS cars. There is a clear difference between that and labeling it the RS Jr.
