Exactly this. Not only did they dominate the field in a league that is constraining they straight wrecked all the teams that had the “same” engine through chassis development. It takes more genius to get a major advantage when you have more rules applied to your car.

The Chevy DW12 is nice, and pretty dominate. I think that could sit at a solid 4. I think the Polo and the 919 had a larger advantage than the Benz did.

Tires is the main reason. A lot of luck helped to. You can give that win to Michelin. If the DinoPrototypes were running god tires they would have been where they are supposed to be.

They mainly won overall because of the tires and when it ended. If they would have ended the race 10 minutes earlier or the DPs were on Michelins instead of Hoosiers it would have been a completely different story.

It might win a worst race of the year competition.

The Polo won all but 2 rallies this year. That is a hard feat with 13 rallies in a season.

That’s another good one. The Hondas got manhandled this year. Especially at the beginning of the season.

This car wrecked the comp hard. It easily had an answer for everything the SF15T had. Even when they slipped the car came back even better the next race. It is really something.

Luckily for them the CLA is trash. I can’t say the same about the A3 though. I don’t really think this car not being RWD will hurt them for the market they are selling these cars to. This car will mainly go to badge whores who wont know the difference anyway.

BMW is late to the game with this. The A3 and CLA got a head start in the market here in the US.

That is very true. The current Viper ACR is undoubtedly the fastest car in the world around a track. It makes other track specialized cars like a GT3RS look worthless. That car doesnt have the Hyperness to get away with being slower ( and a lot slower for the GT3RS)

The P1 can go toe to toe with the 918 on a track. They are about even.
