I’m okay with this, I actually hate generators while camping.
My overriding concerns are economic security (if we’re at the mercy of some Chinese-controlled puppet, or a despotic dictatorship, we haven’t improved anything) and environmental sensitivity. Some of the groundwater pollution in China I’ve observed at electronics plants is staggering.
If something could be done to lower the price of GPU’s that would be great. I want to upgrade from my RTX 480 because most of my PC components have been replaced, but the price of the GPU that’s been recommended to me would outstrip the cost of all the other components.
I feel the same way. I’m due for an upgrade but I have zero excitement about trying to get a new one, so for now I’m just holding out hope that this one lasts until the market normalizes (assuming it ever does).
I won’t even bother reading about them. It may as well be an article about a unicorn.
Trader Joe’s had this salad something like Thai-inspired something with noodles and a peanut sauce. Cold it wasn’t so much. But warm it up and yum yum.
McDonald’s original McNuggets were dark meat, and it would be fun if they were periodically brought back the way they bring back the McRib.
McDonald’s deep fried apple pie. No matter how long it sat in the warmer the inside was still the temperature of lava.
McDonald’s fries using the beef tallow. To this day I’m 100% certain if they leaned into this “classic” version and sold it along side the current “vegetarian” option, they’d make bank. I understand the PR crisis back in the day, but the nostalgia factor alone would make these sell like... hotcakes.
I’ll be honest. Although at first, I thought the mewling, doe-eyed relationship between Stamets and Culber was just too saccharine for me, subsequent plot development has really emphasized the power/strength of all the complex web of personal relationships in the crew, and it’s grown on me.
*Under Contract*. The contract was for a specific kind of job. Charter’s job is to ensure that the work the contractor is being dispatched to do *IS* the work they’ve been contracted to perform. Failing to do so is a breach of contract on Charter’s part. They can either pay for the work the contractor was contracted…
Nope. Charter will still have to pay because *THEY* failed to do due diligence confirming the nature of the work order — which is easy for them to do simply by looking at whether or not the service has ever been used by the customer — and if they refuse to pay, they’re in breach of contract, which is even more…
Amercia has been a net producers for quite a few years now.
No, this is the bad take here. The individual has nearly no power to bring about the change we need. Alternative systems need to be in place for an individual to be able to choose them. In the vast majority of North American cities, this is simply not the case.
Using my situation as an example. I live in a large…
if you want a villain for climate change it is not Exxon, it is every person with an SUV, or Truck, who don’t carpool, casual flying etc.
“Elon is currently the richest person in the world, so you’d have to say that his isn’t wrong.”
I will admit, the car is gorgeous inside and out...save for the trunk opening. I just can’t get on board with the way it dips down to the bumper. It reminds me of an 80's Cadillac Seville, where the trunk looked like it was chopped off for no other reason than to look different.
In a modern, science-based society, requiring vaccination for everyone during a pandemic is the only logical answer.
