Multiple sub-contractors to schedule, and they all have other jobs that can interfere.

I can’t believe that Heinlein’s estate hasn’t gone after him for using ‘grok’.

Cars don’t attract tickets, behavior attracts tickets.

Tough call. If I had the cash flow, I’d consider it, but I’d be more likely to buy a condo near a place with really nice rental sailboats before I buy a boat.

To be honest, I read Kinja articles for entertainment more than for information. It’s basically a blog.  I’m not sure I’d call any of the authors on the sites journalists by default.

Excellent question.  I have no answer for you.  I never got to see a Roadster up close to see how well the panels fit together and I’ve only seen photos of a few Model S and 3 with poorly fitting panels.  I’m usually driving when I see a Tesla, and that’s not the best time to scrutinize the build quality.

I saw a few back in the first few years after they were finally delivered, but I was also living in the L.A. area at the time.

But better.

In the past, these people would have likely ended up in a state mental hospital, perhaps before they discovered the SovCit movement.

I would agree that some have mental issues, undiagnosed, untreated, mental issues.  I’m thinking that some need to have a psych evaluation.

I’m kinda hoping that someone in prison will teach him how to leave others alone.

Oh, yes, I forgot about the ones that border the Southern Ocean. Many were used by whalers in the 1700s and 1800s as supply depots. They planted cabbage and onions (I think) as those plants are hardy and good sources of vitamin C (not like citrus good, but better than salt beef and dried peas). Some of them even still

I would favor an island. There are several in the Aleutians that could suit. Or a few in the Pacific that will remain above sea level for the rest of the lives of these people who are so determined to “live free”.

I wonder how much coal it could haul?

Yeah, if it didn’t have such a profound effect on US society (AKA I was not living in the US), it would be fascinating to see where it will go.

Owning a Tesla Roadster was a status symbol, like owning a 911, M-Class BMW, or a AMG Mercedes. It was a second car. It showed that you had money.

A huge difference in your analogy is the price of the product.

I wonder how much declining build quality and, in the case of the CyberTruck, bad design choices has affected sales?

If the company makes a faulty product, knows it, denies it, ignores it, and blames the user rather than fix it, it deserves to fail no matter how many people it employs.

My mom’s Subaru has that system. No mention of a car wash mode in that owner's manual.
