I love driving a minivan. Upright sitting position, so easy to get stuff and people in and out, better long distance sight lines in traffic, versatile (can carry cargo, people, or both, and more than a SUV or crossover), comfortable ride for long trips (many SUVs ride like pickups).

Manual transmissions are fun, on the right road and in the right conditions, but they’re not better.

And now I need to go watch that, perhaps for a second time. It’s possible I’ve seen it at least once.

That’s not fair to boats. I’ve been on some sailboats that were incredibly well built and gorgeous as well. They were pure pleasure to sail for a weekend or more.

Came to point this out. I’m glad I wasn’t the first.

There really was not a single person who saw the design along the way to final approval who didn’t see it?  Sure, they may not have said anything, but not one person thought “that’s a fleshlight!”?

Nuclear fission power needs to be a part of the mix of generation until alternatives like nuclear fusion or anti-matter are commercially viable.

I’m a fan of the book and most of the prequels (not the ones that followed, most were boring).  After watching Part I, I said that I’d buy the two disc set with all the extra content when it came out.  After watching Part II, I am not sure that I will follow through with that plan.  Part II departed from the book (not

Sadly, you are correct.

As I understand it Rowan is a huge gear head.

His travel shows are fun, the cooking one got old real quick.

Frankie Muniz maybe?  He can act, can do comedy, and more or less gave up acting to race.

Dax might be a good choice, but Joe Rogan lacks something, charm, tact, he always comes across as forced. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking about his time hosting Fear Factor or his podcast, it always feels like he’s trying to force it. He tries too hard to get the contestants hyped up. It’s like a bad public

And his being an ass is part of the equation. I feel like the three of them are good friends and enjoy pranking each other along the way.  Or they’re really good actors.

To be fair, most German engineered cars are better than a similarly priced comparable vehicle from a US manufacturer.  But yeah, apples and oranges.  “Car guys” aren’t exactly the target audience of EV manufacturers.

Good info, thank you.

Looking at the bridge on a satellite image, there are significant breakwaters around the base of each tower and those towers look like they’re in water too shallow for most cargo vessels. And when I looked at them on a marine chart, the water around the bases is less than 30 feet. A modern cargo ship will run aground

It is regulated, but could use more enforcement, and likely more regulation.

And duct tape and bubble gum?

They also misspelled the name of the bridge. There’s two Zs in it according to most every other source.
