OMG Imitation of Life is so good…I saw that movie when I was pretty young (probably around 11 or 12) with my mom and it really haunted me, such a heartbreaking tale. Also my mom watched Mississippi Burning with me when I was even younger (!) - interesting that she would show such movies to a child and I'm glad she did…

Morgan Freeman in Deep Impact - the best!! It was a very realistic and beautiful performance. Too bad Deep Impact was overshadowed by Armageddon, because it was the much more scientific, realistic, less Hollywood version of an asteriod collision/extinction event. And Freeman really added to the gravitas of the film.
