Your experience of it is certainly as valid as mine, but I have to say I have no memory of it (then again, I have little memories of the movie apart from the scientific implausibilities - never mind the idea that a barely trained mission specialist could never do what she does in the movie - I suspended disbelief for

Thanks for the link. This was a very popular theme on his many "best of" albums at the time.

On posters, I remember when the Variety issue for Cannes or AFM was a must have for all the great posters for bad B Movies.

I'll bite:

Well, "Hans Zimmer" has really been about 25 people over the years… ;)

Your ageism is plain for all to see, and I see you don't even bother to pretend you're not…

I am being perfectly serious. There's never been so few watchable shows in the history of TV (well maybe when they first started and there were very few shows!)

Haven't seen Ratner's. At that point the whole series seemed pointless to me.

I remember it. Interesting score. Gary Chang did a number of good scores for lower-budgeted films.

He also copies sequences from other movies shot for shot. He has no imagination.

I don't like Tarantino's movies on any level. They're poorly directed, poorly written and his use of music is uninmaginative and frankly lacking any creativity.

I was responding to the idea that you don't hear that sound any longer. It IS being re-recorded, licensed and pastiched used again and again, perhaps even more than Mission Impossible and Psycho.

I don't even understand what you mean. Is it supposed to be some ageist insult intended to make you feel superior?

I was going back to things he did WAY back, like Castaways, Rain Man, or Days of Thunder (which kind of heralded his later work IMO) but your point is well taken.

The reason it was forgotten quickly is because it did NOT "revolutionize" anything.

"Actually, I won't say these things. But I do think you're the creator of NCIS, based on your other post."
