Maybe it wasn't in 1993.

What is it with Greek airport cops and sleeping?!? I was stuck at the airport in Athens for 24 hours with hundreds of other people (not a natural disaster; a strike) and the cops would NOT let anyone sleep! Couldn't leave, weren't allowed to nod off, flight could go at anytime or never. It was really crappy.
If only there was an organization that looked out for Italian Americans, that could advocate on her behalf, that could negotiate with the museum, maybe make them an offer that they perhaps might have a hard time refusing.
Solid decision. Never look back.
My husband is a dj, so needless to say, we had no music fuckups at our wedding.
I had a friend who put a "you will not get the remaining balance if these songs are played" clause in the contract. I fully expect to negotiate the same thing into mine. Though hearing this maybe I should also add penalties deducted if they play the wrong ones for special moments. :/
My best friend used a Dj/Emcee/Photographer combo and not only did they totally suck, and the photographer was so rude to everyone (small wedding of about 50 guests), they disappeared after the wedding and my friend had to call a local news crew to get her wedding pictures, 8 months after the wedding.
The bride at one wedding I went to last fall explicitly told her band not to play any Robin Thicke and especially not Blurred Lines. The dance floor is packed with everyone dancing and her amazing bridesmen leading these incredible dance offs. Then Blurred Lines came on and everyone immediately left the dance floor.…
Not nearly as bad as your story, but our limo didn't show up at my mom's house to take me and the bridesmaids to the wedding. My friend's mom was there with her minivan so she took us. Long story short: The original limo broke down so a new, smaller one was sent to the church. It was an 8-seater and we had 10 people,…
Mine played 'Blurred Lines' despite having a long list of songs to work with that absolutely, definitely, comprehensively did not include anything by Robin bloody Thicke anywhere near it... but I'm starting to think I got off lightly.
"My husband died. I moved on eventually. Some British nobleman tried wooing me. I fell for him. We boned in a Liverpool hotel. He asked me to marry him. I said no, and then cut my hair short."
I haven't read 50 Shades but i've dated guys that were REALLY into it.
If you're reading this, you probably didn't win the Powerball last night. But if you're feeling bad, here's some…
I really object to the suggestion that because we're skeptical of Fifty Shades, Twilight and Sparks we'd object to the BBD or other romance series. Personally, I don't consider Twilight or Sparks to be genre romance. (Sparks especially pisses me off because he does nothing but shit on the genre and insist he's writing…
That is a good start but what I would love is for her to shadow me when I'm answering hospital calls for people who are suspected to have been sexually assaulted. Listen as I discuss with them their options. Should they do a kit? Should they report the kit anonymously? What about preventative meds? Plan B? Sit with me…
This whole article is so wrong and off-base about so many things I don't even know where to begin. But this might be the stupidest part: "Why, on the LA episode, is there a lengthy interlude about the desert outside the city because Queens of the Stone Age once recorded there, but can't even make a gesture towards…
You know if he had so much as mentioned her or Hole there's a 50% chance that the next day she'd file suit for half the profits of both the series and the album.
Exactly. He's researching and discussing the bands that HE likes and that influenced HIS music. Meanwhile everyone here is too busy wagging their fingers at him for not including the shit THEY care about in HIS special that they can't smell their own hypocritical bullshit.
Ugh. This is why there's no point in producing anything anymore unless it's all inclusive. It's David Grohl's option to do as he pleases, not please everyone with what he does.
