Ugh, Flash, are we really gonna do the over-protective father thing? YOU CAN DO BETTER. Also, you did this already with Papa West!

You could make an argument for Raging Bull, but I still rank Emperor of the North’s climax as the best of the lot. Such a great fight.
The best and greatest fight scene in film history will forever be the climax of The Emperor of the North. It’s just Lee Marvin and Ernest Borgnine beating the ever-loving hell out of each other on a flat-bed train car. It’s brutal, and it’s well earned- the entire movie has built up to this moment.
Yeah, just skim the Wiki article and that’s better than watching it.
I mean, that’s not where my idea came from, but I still crank Babymetal to get in the mood for our sessions, so…
I think min-maxxing can be a character choice. I’m playing a gnome barbarian min-maxxed for acrobatics with slippers of spider-climb. She’s got the personality of an extremely violent child, and doesn’t “rage” so much as “gets really REALLY EXCITED!”. She also claims to speak squirrel (and once per day, as a gnome,…
Baby Ray Palmer as Elliot in an upside down version of ET? We all agree that LoT is the best thing in the Arrowverse these days, right? Julius Caesar going to Aruba-Con (rimshot!), and now this?
I don’t really “follow” any specific outlets. Stuff shows up in my RSS feed, or comes across social media. The buzz I’ve been hearing has been, “Wow, the first episode was kinda bad, but it actually got much better.”
The only critical reviews of the Orville I’ve seen have all been positive. Like this one.
like when Antonio Banderas’ Eaters of the Dead became The 13th Warrior—sure, the movie would’ve sucked no matter what
I’ll get around to it, at some point. It’s just not begging for my attention, and I have other things to watch.
Honestly, I’m kinda burned out on Marvel. I can’t even be arsed to sit through GoG2, but oh hot fucking damn is their marketing and graphic design getting me excited about Ragnarok.
And this is why LoT is becoming the best of the lot. S1 was hot garbage, but they took a look at the show and said, “Wait… what if Doctor Who was about perpetual fuckups?” And they made that show. And it’s amazing.
You don’t have to be an expert director to understand how to capture nature…
They all do it, but they’re not at their best when they do.
Each of the Arrowverse shows is good at asking certain kinds of questions about the characters and their worlds. I’m hoping this “Flash Reborn” sets us up for asking the right questions:
Oh, man, you’re actually missing out. The show was a cynical parody of sitcoms. At worst, it was perhaps a little too on-the-nose: the baby was a too perfect parody of the late-season kid who disrupts the family dynamic, the dad worked for the WeSaySo corporation. It wasn’t subtle, but it was clever in its execution.
I mean, even in TOS, the Klingons were portrayed as “basically the same as the Federation”, especially when you look at episodes like “A Private Little War”- y’know, the one where Kirk starts smuggling weapons to pre-industrial civilization to stop the Klingons (who were doing the same thing)?
Ugh, no, Tucker. I mean, yes, full auto fire does make it difficult to hit individual targets. There’s a reason why most modern military long-arms favor burst-fire over full-auto, while fully-automatic weapons tend to be crew-operated (Rambo may be able to wield an M60 with one hand, but it usually takes at least two…
No, I’m an old person, and I think the theatrical cut is the best, and it’s not very good.
