You could watch this, or you could watch a Steven Wright standup special. That seems like a better choice.

I haven’t seen it, probably won’t, but I’d expect The Dirty Dozen in the Star Wars universe would have about the same sort of ending as The Dirty Dozen, minus the character randomly dying at the start of the third act because the actor and the director couldn’t get along.

Has anyone here actually seen one of Uber’s autonomous vehicles? I have! They’re all over Pittsburgh. This isn’t one of them. The actual autonomous vehicles have a sensor array that covers the entire roof, coupled with several sensors scattered around the body of the car. This vehicle is either a technology testbed

I would have liked Ash cutting off his own hand. Again. Having Bill do it was cheap. If anyone’s going to do emergency chainsaw amputations in this franchise, it should be the master of it.

One of the costume designers did talk about cutting costs by using less fabric when possible. Many of the costumes, especially the female costumes, were held in place with double-sided tape to make that happen.

I’m not sure if you’re joking or not, but this is actually literally true. It’s amazing what some strategic placement and double-sided tape can do.

I see what you’re saying, but good costuming is something people care about, and it’s not cheap. The vast majority of the costumes on Star Trek were bespoke- that takes time, that takes material, and there’s no economy of scale, there.

It was middle of the road. It had about the same budget as Mission Impossible, at around the same time, but unlike M:I, it required lots of effects shots and custom costumes. There’s a reason why every planet looked like Paramount’s back lot and they found excuses to use costumes that were in storage (Nazis? Sure

Humans are social creatures. Politics is an emergent property of society. Everything is political.

Minimizing spoilers- in S3 Olicity is fun and cute. In s4… it’s painful. It’s so bad that when Olicity finally comes to an end, you’re like, “Thank god.”

Savitar’s real identity revealed!

Well, since only the Flash can see him, which means he’s invisible 90% of the time… yes?

And was a cowboy who was poisoned to death. Maybe the Hateful Eight takes place in a far future dystopia where we’ve collapsed back into western tropes?

In Guardians of the Galaxy, we know that Kurt Russell is playing Ego, the living planet. We know that he is Peter Quill’s fathers, which means he had to travel to Earth in a human-ish form. He would have been on Earth sometime in the late 70s, early 80s. During this time, if he wanted to experience life as a human, he

I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one annoyed about that.

Oh, I hope the Arrow episode takes place on a half-finished set that takes on a surrealistic incompleteness elevating a somewhat lousy script into a surprisingly interesting exercise in television.

I think you replied to the wrong person.

I mean, honestly, I consider Waiting… to be a prequel to Deadpool. Hell, working food service would be enough to turn me into a killer, and I wouldn’t even try and get paid for it.

I worry that Hidden Figures will eschew interesting storytelling in lieu of playing the Meaningful Historical Biopic™ formula. Actually, I fully expect it. Biopics are nearly universal in this failing.
