Bit narcissists and sociopaths are always right even when they are wrong. Severing ties with those kinds of people means admitting they did something wrong. Those kind of people stay in it for the long haul and just deny. That is just how people like that do things.

Sometimes I wonder how a man who goes through all those steps manages to rationalize his actions to himself. Nobody thinks they’re evil, so what could he possibly tell himself to make it all seem justifiable?

Unless Dr. Luke was only signed to Sony as a way to get Kesha who was exclusive to him. From the sound of the article Dr. Luke’s success was more based on Kesha’s talent than Kesha’s career was based on his, I just think it took too long for her to realise that.

Want to know the real tragedy of it all? The article hints at the incestuous nature of the music industry, everyone knows everybody, and everyone collaborates at some point. So even if Kesha is released, few will take her on for fear of burning bridges, as evidenced by someone like Kelly Clarkson not saying what she

Ah, well if all of his contracted artists are losing money, maybe he’s losing his viability as a producer. Tastes change.

The artists that he has under contract are all losing money. Kesha was his only profitable artist. I think production clients can avoid him for a while and there’s probably not much he can do about it.

I’m guessing that in the short term, he’s got enough contracted artists to keep him happily employed. This really only hurts his public profile, which as a producer, is already kind of irrelevant. I didn’t even know Dr. Luke was actually a guy and not just some faceless conglomerate of songwriters and producers until

The thing is, in the music industry, almost everyone is “difficult” on some level. It happens when there’s that much money being thrown around. I don’t think she’d have a problem getting picked up at all. As others have said up thread, her name recognition is at an all time high and she’s received support from some of

She seems to have a very good reputation in the industry, which may explain why so many artists from big pop stars to indie artists have shown support for her. I’m sure people in the industry know who the real problem is here, when even people who’ve worked with Luke are siding with her. I think she’ll easily get

Chris Brown. R Kelly. Etc, etc.

There really needs to be more reporting on the other female artists on Kemosabe. Look at Luke’s history even going back to the Since U Been Gone days. It’s young woman after young woman that he grooms, and if they don’t catch fire, they’re dropped in the trash heap and he tries again with a new one. Lesley Roy, Sabi,

So that’s where $60 million came from. They weren’t exactly honest when they told the judge they’d invested $60 million in Kesha when it was actually $11 million. But they may have made that investment of $60 million solely because they thought Kesha would be a massive moneymaker who would have kept the label in the

I was wondering what "digital penetration" was, then I got my head out of the pixels.

Oh yes, it’s not like “here is a picture of kesha after being raped” just generally it’s a goddamn creepy and inappropriate picture to share. But... she does look fucked up.

She claimed he drugged and raped her in 2005. That picture is from 2009. The problem for Luke with that picture is that it was tweeted at 3:21 AM. The question is why was he taking pictures of kesha sleeping in bed in the middle of the night? That’s doesn’t seem like very appropriate behavior from her boss.

I live in Nashville and every so often I’m at a bar or restaurant and I’ll overhear music producers or execs talking to some young naive musician and selling them all these fucking dreams and I just want to turn around and say “go home to your parents”

No one would have imagined what she was putting up with. Although this is from 2011 so clearly some people knew:

Is this the same $60 million that Sony keeps claiming they invested specifically in Kesha? Because it sure doesn’t sound like that money was invested specifically in Kesha.

As interesting as this was, it’s worth while remembering the fundamentals of this whole thing: Kesha does not want money, she does not want Dr Luke to go to jail, she does not want to take control of his company...she simply wants to not work with the person she says abused her.

Well that’s like a sick joke...
