I think the 30 minute format also helps a lot. Before you can get tired of something or overthink it, they’ve already moved on to the next thing. Yet they can also spend some time exploring things that are interesting because the overall story is about 5 hours (10 episodes).

I’m going through it now. Every episode I start thinking “is this the one where it turns into the shitty reminder of why old franchises should stay dead?”

But no. The Raimis and Friends really seem to remember how they made those old films, and why people liked them so much. I can’t imagine returning to something 10,

We endured Spiderman 3. This was Sam’s way of making it up to us.

I sat down to marathon this series with zero expectations (beyond the vague idea that io9 liked it having seen various headlines).

You are missing out. Ghostbusters was really fun. It should have made more money. It was this summers Pacific Rim in that regard.

I agree about zootopia. They were already constructing Pandora when it came out though.

The VR idea is genius! Get to “ride” rides you miss or never got the chance?!

Had no idea that this was a part of history! And the movie actually looks good! Turn up for science!

Eh I only remember him when my mom watched Early Edition.

He was pretty Cable in Friday Night Lights. There was the episode where he went back in time and gunned down a rival football team, because they were destined to be revealed as Sentinel infiltration units.

Hah the Early Edition guy as Cable? Never seemed the type but maybe he has been more Cabley in other stuff.

Han and Landon in the Falllll-con

Just like my marriage! Heh - am I right, fellas?!? Awright!

You’d think Green would wait to get to Rio to go viral.

Sebastian Stan as Nathan Drake could work.

Chris Pine would be an excellent Nathan Drake.

Isn’t Uncharted 4 the game that negates a movie because it is the movie?

Ever since the fall of the Nazis, archaeology just isn’t as exciting as it used to be ....

That last line both horrifies and intrigues me.

I adore Joe Carnahan. If you haven’t seen his movie Stretch on Netflix, give it a go. The sassy flavor of the narration will convince you that yeah, he can write Nathan “smartass” Drake and crew. Also you’ll never look at Chris Pine and his scrotum the same way again.
