I came here to post a red and gold Miura S, and I’m happy that you beat me to it. Lovely car, one of the loveliest ever made.

Does it have that intangible “tough as a rock” feel? Or does it still have that intangible “delicate Italian expensive lightweight parts with long lead times” feel that their superbikes of old had.
A good article on an important subject, Tyler, thank you for bringing attention to this fact.
I can’t tell if you are really serious or just very cynical and short- sighted.
I am an engineer working in the aerospace field, and I have loved aircraft and spacecraft since I was a kid. Now, after years of experience designing, building, and testing things, I realize how difficult it is to make complicated systems. I have also seen how the military industrial complex works in the US.
Also, question 3- Can I get out of the greys? I’ve been reading and following you/Wes/Adey’s shenanigans for too long... Cheers.
How was the new Shoei on track?
Exactly what I did with my first gen- bought an RTL used super cheap, and it hasn’t missed a beat since, most dependable thing that we’ve owned. We wanted a 4-door, non-V8 (for fuel mileage reasons), AWD truck that could haul sportbikes to/from the track, and tow up to 5000lbs when needed. We looked at Tacomas because…
Rally cars with mudflaps tickle my tickleberries.
It is funny, I completely agree. I have never driven a GT-R.
Antihero’s Panigale has been more places than most ADV bikes. Period.
And please please please get me out of the Grays! I love blackflag- keep the posts coming!
This is a racing incident, and yet Rossi gets 3 penalty points (after post-race inquisition) and is forced to start from the back of the grid in Valencia, the Championship deciding race. This is wrong on so many levels.
Excellent article, Tyler. Many excellent points, logically laid out. I forwarded it to other avgeeks, including some of my Canadian friends and relatives. The Super Hornet (F/A-18E/F, possibly a few set up for conversion to EF-18G Growler) would be a smart buy for Canada and would serve the RCAF well. The migration…
The F-4 was good-to-great at a lot of things, but I bet a lot of those Vietnam-era (US Navy, at least) pilots would rather have been in an F-8 Crusader for CAP-only missions.
I have used my Kriega R20 backpack with extra US10 drybag strapped/snapped on for the past 6+ years of daily riding almost year round. I feel naked when riding without it strapped to my back. The US10 provides pretty legit waterproof protection, and a 15in laptop fits perfectly in the R20 sleeve area meant for the…
Do you want to know what are pretty cool? Rockets (and robots).
Rockets and spacecraft. There are few things more amazing.
Honda Ridgeline. It gets a lot of hate around here (automatic only, unibody design, not 4WD “enough” for people, not really easy to compare to other trucks), but ours has served us well for the better part of a decade, hauling the old beasties to many trackdays. Seats 4 people + trackday kit comfortably, has lockable…
I humbly submit the BMW Z8- technically it was designed in late the 1990s but produced in the 2000s. Counts in my book.
