They’re by no means “innocent”.
The beast is a literal animal, and the Jawas are raiders. This isn’t a civilised society, it’s an essentially lawless border existence. The Jawas are perfectly happy to strip someone’s only means of transport for parts and thus leave them stranded, starving, and eventually dying. They’re fair game.

Beatrice completely deserved everything Bojack did to her in this episode and I unironically enjoyed the parts I probably wasn’t supposed to enjoy where he torments her and throws that doll away.
