I feel so bad for the female professors who were sexually harassed during their own lecture on Yik Yak. Fuck the school for expecting them to continue showing up and doing their jobs under those conditions. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/09/tec…

I am seriously worried about any animals who have to live in this park and be props. Evangelical Americans are so callous towards animals. If you were to draw a venn diagram showing people that attend Sea World, Circuses and think they can get a dog “because I have a yard to keep it in” and Evangelicals it would

I have to say I agree. The professor does not seem like a very progressive personality. I for one loath people that refer to racist or sexist threats of violence as “bullying”. That’ just a way of whitewashing what should be called “terrorism.” But, having said that, you can still be a good professor of some subjects

Why? Did he not allow people who couldn’t attend the session to make that work up some other way? Or just because it was inconvenient for some students or appeared irregular? This honestly sounds like typical administrative prudery to me. If the professor had a pedagogic reason for wanting his students to meet - e.g.

Nailed it.

He may be a bad person but he’s also an object in lesson in why professors need to wise up about interacting online with their students. I teach college classes and I do not engage in any but the most mundane e-mail interactions with students. That’s just a cover your ass sort of thing. Don’t create a written record
