If it weren't for the fact that they so clearly spelled out that it was Agent Cooper who 'became' Dougie, I think this would 50/50 be a possible ending..

When self-analyzing why I liked this episode so much, part of it has to do with the fact that i find Evil Coop much more interesting to watch than the Gordon and Albert show. I could do without anymore of them to be honest.
Over the top. I see you.
I confirmed you are correct (see OP)
I literally just ordered it because I'm tired of wondering if I'm missing something addressed in it.
I hope you're right. I distinctly remember someone saying they heard gunshots coming from 'the direction of Big Ed's Gas Farm' but my memory sucks so.. maybe he was just there when he heard it. I remember thinking 'that's weird, two different places got shot up?'
Geez, I don't know how I missed this. Credits to /u/cerebud on reddit for this.
Rehearsing.
The only scene that didn't work for me in this one was theirs (Roth/JJL). It was the definition of useless.
That's fair, I get being mildly annoyed, but not beyond that. And I fully believe someone has actually been killed IRL from spoling something.
How much did they spend on the series again? I feel like it must be a bargain regardless.
I had the exact same thought. At first glance it was just more mindless repeating, but very subtle bits in Kyle's acting made it seem like he was saying them emphatically.

Lynch doesn't really do 'twists' I guess, but I feel a big twist coming on re: Diane.
That has been mentioned but seems almost too obvious a 'spooky' connection for Lynch to make. I did keep expecting the narration to say one of the boxers' names though, before I realized it looped.
I forgot to ask below -
Norma might be the only character that hasn't changed at all from the original run (and I do mean the character, not just that she has barely aged).
God, Emily nails it with the stills again. The arm-wrestling pic could be directly from some terrible Z-list made for TV cable movie from the 90s.
Ah the Magical Negro. The absolute most painfully bad version of that trope is the Steven Spielberg part of Twilight Zone: The Movie with Scatman Crothers.
Maybe tolerance just varies from person to person? I wouldn't care much if I saw a Twin Peaks spoiler and it's my favorite show. In lesser shows, the plot is all there is so if the plot is spoiled there's no reason to even watch.
