I went a step further and am replacing the engine mounts with Brown Dog brackets that bolt into more bosses along the engine, and come with the correct length bolts and spacers. I mean, that was the plan, until I realized none of my shop jacks are quite tell enough to lift my transmission (to replace the transmission

The above-pictured drivetrain is pretty much exactly what all reason tells me I should put in my XJ when I shear the motor mounts again and lose the engine on some back trail somewhere, and yet...pretty sure I’ll put in an LS, instead.

We don’t have to choose: poverty needs both political and technological solutions.

I’ve been wanting to do this to my Jeep for a while now. No one is stupid enough to ride with me, anyway, so why not?

Honestly, old chap, it’s not been about cars since dear Tom Ross left loose the reins, rest his soul. All just glitz and glamour after that, movie stars and hypercars, hardly a word about the best used diesel for them what needs a reliable source of transport for the shops and t’ church.

That would be excessive, in my view, and I hope it’s not so: once would have been enough for me, but a steady taper - as in 3 to 1 from episode 1 to 2 - dying off early in the season should be more than sufficient.

As long as this isn’t the norm, I can accept it; that remains to be seen.

I’m sorry, all I can see are it’s impressive potential approach and departure angles.

[edit: I, apparently, cannot read.]

For all their talk about “danger” - and hilarity aside, that’s not actually an asset on a circuit - it’s not a particularly good track. I do like the variety in pavement styles and some of the extreme corners, but I’d like to see more corner and camber types, and I wish they could increase the track length so as to

Just one picture is looking maybe too briefly back. This seems like an article waiting to happen.

I applaud novelty, but these seem awkward and tacked-on, novelty for novelty’s sake.

If you’re on a Surface, it’s a good idea to drag the taskbar to the top of the screen, anyway, so that it’s easier to touch-interact without the touch keyboard getting in the way.

That’s exactly right. So while you’re watching at midnight, I’m watching at noon, 12 HOURS BEFORE YOU GET TO. Don’t be jealous, bro, just ‘cause you didn’t think of it.

Friend, I don’t think you understand how time zones work. When it’s midnight for you, it’ll be noon of the previous day for me on Alofi: 12 hours earlier. What, do you think Amazon has some kind of TIME MACHINE that lets them release it at midnight local time everywhere on the planet?! C’mon.

Later, suckers: I’m flying to Alofi, Niue, so I can watch this 12 hours before the rest of you berks!

How about an example of a single-pipe non-centered rear that doesn’t bug you? Maybe the differences would be illuminating.

Does applying light braking work with these kinds of setups, the way it does with a conventional LSD when you’ve got one wheel off the ground?

Great writing. First and foremost, the show needs to be scripted well. The presenters - if there are any, and Petrolicious shows you don’t necessarily have to have them - should be charismatic, dynamic, amusing, and well-informed. Good voices and good faces don’t hurt, but people have done pretty well without.

Yeah, living here in the iciest, saltiest part of the rust belt, I’m often asked questions like, “Really, your car was made in 1995?” in a tone that suggests I might secretly be lying.
